Because the edges of the drawing are printed in bold, the colours cannot run over. That is one of the reasons why Aquarellum is so suitable for children. The playful colours can be mixed with each other because they are made on an ecoline basis, so they are also washable.

12 sheets of parchment paper with Aquarellum lines of 23x23 cm, thick and of high quality which is perfect for watercolour because it does not curl.
12 colours of watercolour inks that mix and overlap to create subtle colour gradients with a mixing palette.

A few more tips for working with Aquarellum:
It is wise to clean the pipette before you pick up a drop of another colour to prevent you from squeezing the previous colour into the base bottle of the new colour. For young children it can be wise to pour a little of each colour into compartments of the mixing board where they can then experiment to their heart's content, so that the base colours are not affected.
Very little paint is needed to colour a colouring page. We advise not to mix large quantities.
The bottles are small (5ml), but that is more than enough for the supplied colouring pages with plenty left over for freehand watercolouring and colouring other colouring pages.
